Passive smoking is also known as secondhand smoking or side stream smoke. In recent times researchers have made an astonishing link between secondhand smoking and stillbirth. Stillbirth in itself is an emotionally draining experience TKO Carts
. When a baby in the womb is lost by death at 20 weeks or more of pregnancy it is considered a stillbirth.

This happens in one in 160 pregnancies according to pregnancy related studies. The causes of stillbirth are many and varied. This range from defects, infections and accidents involving the umbilical cord. The causes are those that are common and some that are somewhat rare and uncommon.

Recent studies have further linked stillbirth to passive smoking. Studies suggest that it is not only smoking mothers who can experience stillbirth. Expecting mothers who are exposed to secondhand smoke of about 25 cigarettes per day are at high risk of suffering stillbirth. This is typically mothers who live with smoking husbands or other members of the family.

In countries were anti-smoking rules are not strict this can even be at the workplace. Doctors agree that there is no small amount of passive smoke that can be considered safe. Apart from causing stillbirth, passive smoking may also lead to heart disease, cancer and other nasal related chronic diseases.

Statistically women who encounter secondhand smoking have more that 20 percent risk of stillbirth and over 10 percent risk of defects. As mentioned above defects may cause stillbirth. This means even if the secondhand smoke itself may not cause stillbirth it may still occur due to defects caused by passive smoking. In light of these research findings compelling reasons for governments to impose stop smoking bans are ever stronger.

There is a force that controls our every behavior and thus controls our ultimate destiny. The twin forces of pain and pleasure figures into all of our daily actions. If you smoke you are currently associating more pleasure to smoking than not smoking. If you are ready to change this situation this article will show you how to use the twin powers of pain and pleasure to stop smoking permanently!

Let’s get a better understanding of how pain and pleasure controls us. The sad fact of the matter is than most people will do more to avoid pain than they will do to gain pleasure. We as human beings are creatures of comfort. If given the choice most of us will seek comfort over the temporary pain we must endure to achieve something worthwhile.

Think about it. We all want a lean six pack abs, but very few of us have them. Why? Because having great abs takes some self inflicted suffering. It’s much easier to stay on the couch with a six pack of beer or some donuts. When it comes to quitting cigarettes we view it as giving up something that has given us some measure of pleasure.

We all know that smoking cigarettes is a very deadly habit. Most of us have heard about the link to cancer and heart disease, yet some people still continue to smoke. The reason for this is that smoking gives them pleasure. People who smoke may do so because of stress, boredom, wanting to fit in and look cool and for other reasons. As long as they see smoking as a way out of pain and into pleasure they will continue to smoke.

What we link pain and pleasure to controls our actions and behaviors and ultimately controls our lives. The good news is that we have a choice in what we link pain and pleasure to. It is this choice that can set us free from cigarette smoking forever. If we want to quit this deadly habit we have to link much more pain to smoking cigarettes and massive pleasure to not smoking cigarettes!

Learning to use pain and pleasure frees us from relying on willpower. When we try to quit smoking using willpower we try to consciously stay away from something we still see as pleasurable. As long as we still see smoking as being pleasurable the temptation we always be there. That’s way quitting cold turkey rarely works.

When people finally do quit for good is when they learn to see smoking as being extremely and unbearably painful and not smoking as immensely pleasurable. You’re probably thinking that this sounds all well and dandy, but exactly how do you do it? The answer is that you have to focus on exactly what it will ultimately cost you physically, financially, socially, emotionally and spiritually if you don’t quit smoking immediately!
